Well yeah. The character of Eminem (Slim Shady, if you will) obviously stems from the regular guy frustrations that Marshall was dealing with in his everyday life and then exaggerates his response. I’m not saying that rappers, as humans, can’t be regular guys. We’ll never know what rappers are like when they go home and kick their shoes off. My point is that the persona they embody on record should probably be more than just that regular guy.
