Aura f/ Kanye West & The Clipse - “Crazy” (Atlantic/Unreleased, 2002)

Before “Fuck The Money” was a B.O.B. and Wiz Khalifa record it was a B.O.B. and some white boy record. But many years before any of that it was a shelved track from R&B songstress and short term Atlantic signee Aura. Recorded for her never released debut album, the track was penned by the late Static Major and featured not only producer Kanye West but also The Clipse, who were still popular and commercial entities in 2002. Inevitably, Ms. Joni Mitchell refused to clear the sample and that was the end of it. How it ended up in B.O.B.’s hands is anybody’s guess.
